Upper back, not just lats.

An ordinary row pulls horizontally and lets the lats do most of it. Here the pull comes from above and down towards the body, and that angle moves the work up into the upper back and rear shoulder. The chest pad keeps the upper body still so you cannot jerk your way through the set, and the independent arms let each side pull its own load all the way. The machine is 1876 mm high and needs clearance above you in the starting position. Dead weight 156 kg, Olympic plate loading (Ø50 mm). The part of the back the mirror does not show you.
