Competition plates are about one thing: that what you lift is exactly what you think you are lifting. These are built to IWF standard with a 450 mm diameter, a chrome steel core and a weight tolerance of ±0.1 percent, stricter than anything you notice in training, but that is the point of a standard. The colour coding gives you the load on the bar at a glance, and the 50.4 mm collar hole sits snug without pinching. Weights run from 5 to 25 kg. What you lift is what it says on the plate.
